To-Do List - Take 2!

This past weekend PK spent time in Audubon with his G&G and cousins.  Perfect time to get some things checked off my list.

Breakfast at fire station

He brought the gloves home...

Teamwork, they were sneaking down the library books off of the shelf

To-do List:

  1. Finish sorting clothes, toss stained items, find a place for totes by size  Done
  2. Replace ceiling fan
  3. Hang curtains (replace cellular blinds with cordless)
  4. Paint/hang book shelves Kris made - in process
  5. Hang name and frame
  6. Need to make crib skirt - got the material
  7. Need clothes hamper - ordered, on it's way
  8. Paint the green changing station and sew a cover for changing pad to match the bedding - in process (got the cover sewed this weekend)
  9. More shelves in closet? Bookshelves? Toy shelves?  Seems like a lot of dead space between the cube organizer and the hanging rod.  I hung like 4-5 things when PK was a baby - today. So I don't see myself taking the time to hang outfits every time they get washed. - got some large crate type things to put on top.
  10. Need small lamp/nightstand, trying to decide if I'm going to confiscate PK's - took from spare room
  11. Need baby monitor of some sort, trying to decide if I want to do the video thing this time.  We didn't really use the basic one we had with PK because we shared a wall and I could hear every movement. - still deciding... got the old one out
  12. Get the safe out of the room? (this shouldn't be my job :))
  13. Prep some frozen meals and/or sort out easy and quick recipes
  14. Try to keep house in a state of non-crazies through the summer?!? (no idea if this is possible)
  15. Get all bills on bill-pay or auto-pay schedule
  16. Get hospital bag ready (I will have soap and shampoo this time!!)
  17. Final decision on a name...
Well it seemed like I got a lot off the list, it appears we still have some work to do!

Baby #2 Update - Weeks 30&31

Due Date: August 27th, measured right at 31 weeks this week

Weeks: 31 weeks

Doctor Report: Everything looks good; heart rate at 140.  He kicked the thing when they were trying to listen to his heart rate! Head down, likes to have his rear on my left side.

Gender: BOY

Name: First name has been decided, a middle name has not.

Total Weight Gain: Not even looking anymore.

Miss Anything: Having energy!

Best Moment this Week: My stomach growled around lunch time and he about jumped out of my stomach!  Scared the poor guy! :)

Labor Signs:  Not really, getting crampy more often.  Doc said it is most likely due to him being so low. My ligaments are stretching with the added weight creating cramping when I walk.  Time to take it easy.

Belly Button in or out: Still in

Maternity Clothes: Yup.  Most days I wear a dress to work.  Maternity dress pants just aren't making the cut anymore

Sleep: It's officially not good anymore.  Waking quite often.  Can't get comfortable, etc.

Food: No cravings. Been eating a lot of fruit, but that's always the case in the summer

Exercise: Taking it down another notch.  I'm not sure how much longer I will try to exercise.  The humidity mixed with random cramping has me slowing down.

Pregnancy Symptoms: Swelling, officially removed the wedding rings.  Making frequent trips to the bathroom.  Snoring?!? Back pain.  It's crazy how the body changes in just one week.  It's officially not all good anymore.

Happy or Moody: Pretty average most of the time.

Movement: Lots and lots of movement!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Holding this sweet baby

Dad's Day 2015

The boys and I had a busy weekend, we mixed in Dad's day celebration, a wedding back in Audubon, Adventureland and they went fishing.

On Thursday I made a day trip to Minneapolis for work.  LONG day.  PK and Kris worked on their fishing techniques that night.

Practicing in the yard

Went out to Thomas Mitchell quick to see how he would do

On Friday Kris took the afternoon off and picked PK up early from school.  They caught 6 fish and were so dang excited when I got out there after work.  They had a good afternoon together.

Packing up to head home

On Sunday we went to Adventureland.  It was perfect weather for the waterpark area.  At the picnic they give away stuffed animals to the kids.  PK picked out a larger "Mikey" (#2).  It's almost as tall as him!

Finally got him on something other than the semis.... Just as we were all spent and ready to go home.

Mikey, PK, Mikey  Good thing we got a bigger bed ;)

Dirt Bike Birthday!

Kam telling stories

It wasn't very hot but Kris had set up the pool for action.  It didn't take long before they were all in... with their clothes still on.  Except PK.  He came running in for his swim shorts before getting drenched.

Zach was supervising ;)

Out came the water guns

Carter

Everyone gathering around/helping with presents

Opening everything up!

And he just wanted to play with a little dirt bike :)

Lighting the candles on the cake PK helped make

Group photo, thanks everybody for coming!

Getting a little soccer action in once we were back out of the pool for the 2nd time

The dads getting winded

Pretty worn out by this point.  Not having it.
