Keepin' 'Em Busy

Hooks to hang scarves on

Also ignore messy closet - scarves hung up nicely
Getting ready to make some bookshelves!
I found the boards for my scarf hangers at Gordman's on the Halloween 90% rack.  So they were $1.50 each and already had hangers on the back.  I spray painted over the Halloween decoration and go the double hooks at Lowe's.  Kris drilled them in for me and they work perfect in the closet!  We also started on some bookshelves for the toy room this week.  Got them built and a layer of primer on last night.  We are keeping busy around here trying to beat the winter blues (or I just continue to have ideas... either way, when they are bored I can fulfill)

Maxi Skirt

Added a layer about knee length so you can't see through and I don't have to wear a slip.

Sick Day with my Baby

Got all the goods around him watching Thomas.

Making Our Own...

Laundry detergent.  So I tend to get on these kicks where I get convinced I'm going to do something because it makes complete sense, is easy to do and saves us money.  Well this time it was laundry detergent.  Seems simple enough. Here are the directions/inspiration I used: Ten Mile Farm Liquid Laundry Detergent  Well it was pretty easy to make; went pretty well.  But no where in the directions does it say that it will expand while "cooling down".  Luckily I left it in the sink overnight, it was about half full by morning (made the sink nice and clean :)).  It also gave no direction of how to stir before filling jugs in a 5 gallon bucket (used Parker's little mop to stir) or how to fill your containers (dunked my big measuring cups in).  I created quite the mess.  There was detergent everywhere in my kitchen!! So it's made.  But hasn't been tried yet.  Will keep you posted (if anybody is out there and cares!)  I have a feeling this will last us about a year (and was less than $10 for products) if we like it.  It made a ton... well about 10 gallons!

Parker loved it! Glad we went. We talked up the ear protection so he would be prepared.

I've been sewing

My mom and dad got me a serger for Christmas. I've made PK a shirt and a couple pair of pants, pretty excited about it!
