Just Us

Reading Tractor Magazine

Playing with dishes that were mine when I was little

Waiting for the snowplow to come by and telling stories... Not interested in getting up!

Lovin' taking selfies with mommy

"do it again, get my race cars in picture mommy"

Got done with supper and sat down in front of his picture.  Just checking it out.  Such a sweet guy.

Chowing Down!

Last week Blogger didn't want to work for me.  We went all (almost) new with recipes and had great success!  Kris kept asking if I was pushing my luck with all "good" recipes.  Maybe this week will be a flop.  But I have to go back and share last week.

Monday - Salmon Recipe It was so good!  Kris kept saying he thought we were eating at a restaurant.  Super easy; just a little prep work.
Tuesday - Chicken Mushrooms Recipe Again very good.  Parker chowed down on it.  Also took a little prep work because the recipe had things in it we normally don't stock in our pantry (wine, fresh mushrooms, muenster cheese).
Wednesday - BBQ Meatloaf - I'm not a meatloaf fan but this I like.  Super easy.

Thursday - Buffalo Chicken Pasta Recipe - Not the healthiest dish but was a hit.  Kris thought it was super hot and had to have some bread with it.  Parker chowed down.  Similar to the dip but in pasta form.
Friday - Beef and Noodles with leftover roast

This week:

Monday - Chicken/Rice Recipe - This is new, we've never had it before.  Looks good though
Tuesday - Lasagna
Wednesday - Pineapple Pork Loin
Thursday - Parmesan Tilapia Recipe - this is new also

Chowing Down

Sunday - Ham Roast - crock pot
Monday - BBQ Chicken (20 minutes in Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker)

  • 2 thigh/leg pieces smothered in favorite BBQ sauce, microwave 19 min, let stand one

Tuesday - Goulash  Similar Recipe  Though I go for a lot simpler.
Wednesday - Apple Pork Loin Recipe
Thursday - Homemade Hot Pocket

  • Unroll crescent roll and press all seams together
  • Fill with favorite filling (ours is hamburger/ground sausage with spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and cheese)
  • Fold up sides to middle to form big roll (like loaf of bread) and cook until brown

Friday - Pizza (carry over from last week)

Keepin' 'Em Busy

Hooks to hang scarves on

Also ignore messy closet - scarves hung up nicely
Getting ready to make some bookshelves!
I found the boards for my scarf hangers at Gordman's on the Halloween 90% rack.  So they were $1.50 each and already had hangers on the back.  I spray painted over the Halloween decoration and go the double hooks at Lowe's.  Kris drilled them in for me and they work perfect in the closet!  We also started on some bookshelves for the toy room this week.  Got them built and a layer of primer on last night.  We are keeping busy around here trying to beat the winter blues (or I just continue to have ideas... either way, when they are bored I can fulfill)

More Sewing Projects!

Maxi Skirt

Added a layer about knee length so you can't see through and I don't have to wear a slip.

Testing it out in our messy bedroom... :)

Baby blanket (was going for country and not too little girl)

Burp rags!
