Baby room is ready!
Seems crazy to think that with PK we had a bookcase. That was it. The walls had been painted the weekend before.
This time. Ready.
This was our office before. I wasn't sure we were going to make things work in here since it is so small. But happy to report, that I'm loving it!
I said right away this time that I was getting a recliner for the room, so that was our first purchase. The dresser and crib got switched out from PK a few months after finding out about the baby.
Pictures were taken on my phone. I will have to try to get some better pictures with blinds open or on my good camera.
Kris made the bookshelves (smaller versions of what we made for the toy room).
Dresser I left painted white and tan from PK's last room makeover. The changing table is wood that my grandpa made when I was a baby. Painted again :) I found a super soft navy blanket to keep in there too. Curtains are navy and room darkening (work well).
The nightstand was one that my grandpa made when I was growing up. Lamp got taken from the guest room. I made the bumper and crib skirt. Then just enough room for the diaper trash and clothes hamper.
The name is made from metal pieces I found at the Junk Jubilee along with the frame (distressed gray). The white frames I hope to put either a couple maternity photos in or newborn photos.
All the baby necessities in some baskets and made the changing pad to cover to match the crib with some gray minky.
And all the organization in the closet. I have another wooden tote I'm painting to replace the diaper box on the cube shelf (last item in process). Extra diapers, burp clothes, bibs, shoes, blankets, toys, scale and mobile are in the closet. (and 3 outfits that are hung up! ha!)
Otherwise I've filled the guest room with the all of the totes of clothes and stockpile of diapers. I didn't figure it was worth having the extra clothes or diapers down two flights of stairs when we will be shuffling through them rather quickly the next year or so.
Ready for baby arrival anytime! :)
