April Fun

Riding on the tractor with Grandpa Keith

Boys working on the pink 4 wheeler at Maya's birthday (all within a couple months of each other in age)

Very hard to capture a picture of this group... Always one that doesn't want to, or multiple.  Notice they are standing in front of the gator.  They were getting ready to fight over who got to drive...

We went to the races at the Fairgrounds.  PK had a good time but was most interested in chowing down on popcorn!

Bathtime!

Cheese mommy!

Silly Guy

Kam wanted his "selfie"taken

Riding the go cart around the yard

Got in some sandbox action

I told him he could take one tractor outside while I made supper.  Came around the corner to this...

Giving all his guys a ride

Coloring with Jeana

Well April is pretty much over.  Not sure where it went exactly.  Great to finally have some nice weather.  I need to get my good pictures off of my camera.  These are all phone pics.  Looks like I haven't downloaded any since January.  Onto a busy May!

Little Black Dress Party

Dani's Bachelorette party crowd!

We had a lot of fun celebrating my little sister!

More of PK's room

Curtains!  Yea!!  I actually do love them.  They feel so fancy with the liner in them... :)

Also; the glider with the material I'd like to reupholster it with.

Cute little hangers I'd got a long time ago.  They finally go with his room enough to hang.  He is still getting the hang of hanging up his sweatshirts.  It makes me giggle that it makes the most sense to him to hang up from the bottom of the sweatshirt.

So funny story, no pictures of his bed right now.  When we went "under construction" he slept in the office in the pack and play.  He slept so good in there (no waking up in the middle of the night, straight to bed when it was time, etc). Well we finally got his room put back together and put him back in his big boy bed.  Right back to his old antics.  Getting up multiple times before finally staying in bed, getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, waking up early and needing water, refusing to stay in bed for a nap, the list goes on.  This past weekend he was refusing to lay down for nap, kept getting up.  "I hangrete" (hungry), "I need water", "Cover me up", "I need to go potty"... all while sneaking out of his room and then whispering when he saw me because he knew he wasn't suppose to get up and was trying to find a reason for why he was up.  Well he thought he finally had a good one, one that mom could not resist and naptime would be over!  He came flying out of his room and when he spotted me, he pretty much yelled, "mommy, we got get camper at uncle Kelly's house!!".  Like this was it; he had found something that he was getting up for!! :)

Long story short, he came down with a cold this week so I put him back in the pack in play in his room to get some sleep.  It's been working.  Maybe I will wait for the weekend to be over to take it back down so I can sleep in :)

Library

This guys loves, loves, loves the library.  Asks if we can go every day (well there and Aunt Dani's house). Within 5 minutes of being there he fills up our bag of books to take home.  They have a program on Monday nights that we liked but we've only gone once.  Mondays are hard to get supper done/ate and to the library by six.

Found a John Deere book hiding down there

They also have great toys and a play kitchen he loves playing with.

Making Progress

Just a little bit of PK's room.  The dresser and the nightstand got new paint jobs and new hardware.  The hardware about did me in.  Ugh.  Kris left me to drill new holes and screw in the handles.  Fine; I can handle it... But he didn't show me how to use the dang power tools!! I was sweating my butt off trying to manually screw in those damn screws, got blisters on my hands and everything.  Showed me how they worked and had the rest of them done in 15 minutes!  Ugh.

We are still trying to decide if we are going to try to hang that picture above or leave it leaned against the wall.  It is string art from my great uncle Lorin.  He passed away this winter and I wanted to put it in Parker's room.  He loves looking at it; it's just so heavy that I'm not sure how we would hang it safely.

Slowly starting to put everything else back together.  I have the curtains done too; they look great, it's just hard to get a picture of them since I put a room darkening liner behind them.  The darkening liner works awesome too!  I didn't even have his cellular blinds closed the other day and the curtains made it completely dark in there during nap time (not that he took a nap tho!!).

The bookcase was also done but I had a slight mishap when trying to spray paint the baskets I had on there.  The paint didn't stick so well to the plastic and they look horrible.  So I'm on the hunt for new baskets.  I'd also like to reupholster his glider we have in there.
