We went back to Audubon this weekend to "help" harvest.. Or ride along, either way :) Parkers first official trip in the tractor and combine. He loved it! We got out of the car and I couldn't walk fast enough for him. All he kept repeating sounded like "dada", "tractor"over and over. Just a tad excited.
We got home from Audubon this afternoon and just hung outside for awhile. Went for a walk then Parker decided to "walk his trike" around the garage. I think any day we are walking. He would just stand by himself all evening by things not realizing it.
We had to go to tractor supply this weekend to get PK a new tractor since he's been so "good" lately.. Lol. He's spoiled. Kris thought he needed something with bigger wheels to push around.
Saturday the concrete truck came and Kris had some guys over to help. PK was telling out the window most of the time and so wanted to be out there. Unfortunately it was really cold so we watched out the window. He had many meltdowns he wanted out there so bad!
It looks nice, the neighbor came over and told Kris "it really makes the house now". So Kris thinks we've added $5k to our value! I'm sure the assessors will think so just so they can jack up our taxes! Oh well, it should be nice to get the car off the street.
We have all got our first colds of the season but it's so hard to resist his sweet kisses. He just keeps walking over and kissing. Can't turn down a goobery kiss even if it's full of germs.
He loves rolling around and "wrestling". He will crawl right up to you and just relax and giggle.
He tackles his bear still. He gets a head start and gets going and just plows bear down. Pretty funny.
He has started doing this thing if you aren't paying attention to him he will crawl over, crawl up on you and lean in front of your face with the biggest smile like "hey mom pay attention!" all while making up his own words.
Daddy is starting to become the favorite. He thinks if dad isn't downstairs with us he must be upstairs. So he will crawl over to the stairs and yell around the corner "da, da!"
Loves being outside, many meltdowns when we have to come inside. Winter will bring many more I'm sure.
Loves balls and saying ball. He will go on and on for awhile and I think the only word I catch is ball in there.
We decided we are adding on a third stall to our driveway. On Saturday Kris and his friend Mike started digging with the skid loader. Pk was loving the action!
We thought for sure the panthers were going to pull out a win on Saturday, we were cheering all morning!
We went to Earlham today to catch Wades football game. They won and Wade had some good tackles. Got to catch up with all the cousins.
We went and got the full cast today. Doctor said to come back in four weeks. He gets along pretty well. Still a happy guy.
Last night Kris and PK were reading books on the love seat. When Kris was done reading PK took his turn reading the stories, when he was done he threw the books over the edge then kept pointing at them. We both looked away and turned back just as he pushed off with his leg while pointing at the books and over the edge he went... :( He took a pretty bad tumble. When we sat him down he went to crawl and fell right on his face like his arm kept giving out.
This morning he wouldn't even attempt to go anywhere without screaming. We waited at the doctor for xrays to be told they couldn't do anything and we had to go to ER. So we spent the majority of the afternoon back at Blank. Turns out he fractured his right arm right above his wrist. It's in a half cast, splint now. Will go back next week for a full cast. All and all he has been one tough cookie. Only really pissed off when people were messing with him. Was a happy guy, maybe even happier than mom for as many hours as we spent waiting for doctors today.
Tonight he started a half army crawl across the room and was pulling himself up. One tough guy...
This weekend we were back in Audubon and then for Labor Day PK and I headed to Rockwell City to visit my grandparents. Today was their 59th wedding anniversary! Amazing :)
We had a good visit and Parker warmed up to them enough to get some cuddles in and throw some kisses. Grandpa was eating a hard candy and Parker was trying to get his fingers in there to see what he was eating without him!
