Potty

So awhile ago I decided that since Pk makes it obvious when he has a big pooper coming on we just as well put him on a toilet instead of ignoring him... Well.... First he was scared to sit on it, then I let him play with it alot. Then we tried running upstairs when he started grunting and that freaked him out about what was going on.... So tonight he started grunting and I calmly walked upstairs, let him sit on it with clothes on, took pants off, then diaper and most importantly sidetracked him with a hair brush. AND he peed! I didn't think he had done anything, so when I went to take him off his little butt was stuck in the hole and it lifted with him when I picked him up! Lol! So we ended up dumping the pee all over the bathroom and defeating the whole purpose but it was very exciting! ;)

50 weeks

Oh my the count down is on. Can't believe I just typed 50 weeks.

This was the best picture I could get. The attitude is coming on strong. Highlights of the week included sticking his finger so far up Kris nose it gave him a bloody nose and whacking back so hard while throwing himself around he gave mommy a fat lip. Oh and I also trimmed his hair. Just the back and the sides. I can't bring myself to cut the top yet. He looked so much more grown up just by trimming that much.

That's all until tomorrow ;)

49 weeks

This week PKs cousin Armor was born. When we visited he was getting circumcised and so was crying when he came back to the room. Parker just looked over and stared! He didn't know what was going on. And of course had to show off and play shy at the same time with everybody.

I've started standing him up before and while getting dressed and opening the middle drawer of his dresser. He thinks that is the coolest thing to stand there and shake the heck out of his drawer.

He can finally reach the floor in his walker so has started maneuvering around the kitchen, tho still only backwards. I think we are going to have problems with forward movement because he has always been such a kicker his natural instinct is to push off.

Helping Grandpa in the Garden

When we were back last weekend Parker was supposed to help Grandpa in the garden.  It started out a little rough; right away Parker grabbed a dirt clog and put it straight in his mouth… Well Kris was trying to move just as fast to get it out and pretty much slapped him in the face.  So we got him calmed down and he reached right back down and put a huge clog into his mouth.  I tried to fish it out and we had to get some water in there to wash it down.  So he was drenched by the time we got him to drink water from the water bottle.  He had a fun experience I think J haha…

Kam's Birthday

Kamdan had his birthday party last weekend.  It was pretty funny because Maya opened all his gifts and all he really cared about was a balloon that he got.  He wasn’t very happy about the cake for some reason.  He was starting to get tired and wasn’t interested in “smashing” it.

48 weeks/11 Months!

(I know I’m a week late and it’s actually 49 weeks today but the pictures are dated right)

Wha, wha, what?!? Eleven months?  Crazy to think my little boy is getting so big.

Still sleeping good, same two teeth and top and two teeth on bottom.

He started smacking his tongue around in his mouth making a clicking noise.

Parker started being shy and cuddling in with the person holding him if other people talk to him.  Pretty cute stuff.

We also had our first “tootsie roll” in the tub this week.  Luckily for me Kris was actually giving him a bath.  Good timing bud.

Still loves squash and sweet potatoes the best; I think he actually likes his vegetables better than fruit sometimes.

We are still working on getting him to drink from a sippy cup; it just isn’t working.

When he wakes up in the morning he maneuvers himself around so that his feet can rest on his mobile and he kicks it until it turns on and starts turning for him.  Then he just lays there and watches it.  But at night he lays on his side and maneuvers himself to the opposite side of the crib where there is a toy tied on and he kicks the heck out of it until he starts getting sleepy.

Parker has started getting attached to his blankets.  He likes going to sleep with a fuzzy blanket and cuddling it.  And it must be the fuzzy kind.  Those swaddle blankets just don’t do the trick for him.

At daycare there is a little girl who is 4 or 5 months younger than Parker who always has a fuzzy blanket with her.  If he doesn’t have his with him while they are playing he reaches over and steals hers.  I guess he also always reaches over and steals her socks or binky too.  Poor girl.

I think that’s all for this week.  (or until tomorrow).

47 weeks

My future panther boy! The only way I could get him to stop moving was brushing my teeth, he just stared at me like I was crazy. He was telling stories aka screaming in one of those pictures outside.

Some funny quirks about this little man... He must kick non stop until he's asleep, kicking as hard as he possibly can until he is out... Has started whining a lot more... mommy is his fav right now... cried this past week when dropping him off at daycare... Loves reading books, when we read "old mcdonald" at the eieio part he kind of hums along!... He also loves the touch and feel books... Has started "dancing" when he hears music, mostly he shakes his little butt and shakes his head, pretty cute... has stated this little half fake smile where he presses his lips together when he smiles... Loves being outside, we got a swing for him and it almost puts him to sleep tho... Lots of hair lately! Might need a haircut soon, it makes him sweat more I think... I wish I could get a picture of him sleeping at night, he's started sleeping on his side while cuddling a blanket...

PK had a rough weekend so it was early to bed nights which translates to early to rise. On sunday morning we put his jumper out on the deck a little after seven and he proceeded to wake up the neighborhood with the jumper noise and his screaming. It was pretty entertaining!

I think that's all the pk quirks tonight I can think of.

Rubber Ducky You're the One

I couldn't get a picture of him smiling but if he isn't splashing you have to be quick to get a picture before you get drenched. Pk loves bath time and gets overly excited when we enter the bathroom; which is a good thing now that it's getting warmer, he comes home a hot mess every day.
