Skirts!

There are so many little cute girl things to make.  I made some skirts for our niece who is turning 5 this month.  They are super cute.  I asked Kris if I should make one of each for myself :).  But I'm having the hardest time finding plain shirts to go with them.  Everything is covered in a slogan/picture or glitter!

Grocery Getter

Shopping for groceries at Fareway.  Daddy lets him have his own little cart to push around.  Parker's driving abilities: head down, follow mommy's heals.  At least I was wearing boots!!

Coloring on the paper from the meat department.

Potty Training

We can officially say we are potty trained!

This experience has not been for the weak.  This little guy has pushed me to my limit but we worked through it.  I'm so proud of him.  He has rocked it.  We went ahead and did a 3 day bootcamp type program.  I was so nervous; I didn't sleep the night before and honestly, I haven't slept since... It basically said once you start, don't turn back.  So I was kind of freaking out about it.  And I almost caved and gave up when we were in the heart of it and I was trying to act happy that he had peed on my floor for the millionth time.  But we pushed through and he's been doing great.  The only thing we need work on is making it through the night.  For the past week he has been waking up, waking me up and going to the bathroom.  But then it takes him over an hour to get back to sleep!  We need some work there.  Once we got through those 3 days I kind of wished we would have done it sooner.  (I've already blocked the bad memories I guess! :))

So proud of our little man and so glad that we have this done before summer!

Pants, Pants, Pants

One of these past weekends I got started on some pants I'd wanted to make for Parker.  I had found the material shortly after Christmas to make some pants for Dani's wedding this summer.  The khaki pair on the left has lining in it... Well, I didn't account for the lining making them more "fitting" so they are a tad snug.  I didn't even put elastic in them at all... lol.  He's such a skinny guy!  Anyways, the brown pair has a tad more stretch to them and I actually ended up liking them better. I ordered a blue dress shirt; so he should be looking fly this spring!

HEEYYY I'M BAACCKK!! :)

So I'm not sure where February went.  I was wishing it away and then whish, gone.  We tried staying busy and tried not strangling each other.  Both were very tough to do. I was traveling one week, we were potty training another weekend, celebrated 3 years together and tried to stay warm!

Oh!  And I almost forgot.  I sold Zippy... :(  More on that later.

The bookcase is almost complete for the toy room.  I'd like to get some sort of "ABC" or "123" cardboard letters for the top of the bookcase to add some color up there.  On the right is an old cork board that was probably my dad's or something.  It had a brown metal ring around it.  I cut it down to the size I wanted for the bookcase, painted it white and then used ribbon and glued it to the sides to help clean those up.  I used some of those removable 3M stickies to hang it up but honestly it will probably crumble when I go to pull it off anyways.  I just didn't want to glue it to the wood.  We also got some more shelves cut down to size for the left side to add more of the bigger toys.  I love it.

We also built some bookshelves (to be used for books) for the other side of the toy room.  I found some Pinterest inspiration and had Kris build them for me.  We finally got them painted and hung up.  I'd like to make some floor pillows for that area.  Right now there is a huge pig and cow taking up space under the books that we got from Adventureland.  They might have to find a new home soon!

Watching the race with daddy.  And being bribed by mom to wear his new shoes... Lol lots of bribing going around these parts!

We brought the little chairs and table in the kitchen that my Grandpa made and ate our meals on it for one whole weekend.  He wasn't happy moving it back into the toy room!

Chowing Down!

Last week Blogger didn't want to work for me.  We went all (almost) new with recipes and had great success!  Kris kept asking if I was pushing my luck with all "good" recipes.  Maybe this week will be a flop.  But I have to go back and share last week.

Monday - Salmon Recipe It was so good!  Kris kept saying he thought we were eating at a restaurant.  Super easy; just a little prep work.
Tuesday - Chicken Mushrooms Recipe Again very good.  Parker chowed down on it.  Also took a little prep work because the recipe had things in it we normally don't stock in our pantry (wine, fresh mushrooms, muenster cheese).
Wednesday - BBQ Meatloaf - I'm not a meatloaf fan but this I like.  Super easy.

Thursday - Buffalo Chicken Pasta Recipe - Not the healthiest dish but was a hit.  Kris thought it was super hot and had to have some bread with it.  Parker chowed down.  Similar to the dip but in pasta form.
Friday - Beef and Noodles with leftover roast

This week:

Monday - Chicken/Rice Recipe - This is new, we've never had it before.  Looks good though
Tuesday - Lasagna
Wednesday - Pineapple Pork Loin
Thursday - Parmesan Tilapia Recipe - this is new also
