Well... it's that time of year. Time for projects. I've had big plans for our kitchen for years. The orange oak is killing me. Ever so slowly. BUT first we put some funds towards a new deck. We've had a deck the whole time we have lived here (see below) but have never used it. It was simply too small to put any furniture on and still be able to walk around. There was also a cement pad at the bottom of the deck where we had our grill.
We hired to have most of the work done. Kris dug out the concrete slab, dug up the flowers, dismantled the old deck and laid rock under the rest of it. We kept it the same width, just continued it to the end of the house.
Pretty excited about it so far. Kris is going to weld a metal railing to go around as the next step.
