Stay in Audubon

I was supposed to travel for work (trip ended up being cancelled) and PK was to stay in Aubudon for a couple days.  He ended up staying even though I didn't go on my trip.  Sounds like he got spoiled and spent lots of time with his cousins.  Was a rude awakening coming home to mean mom and dad

Spending the night at Uncle Nathan and Aunt Rachael's house.

Digging in the dirt with his cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Kris found a 4 wheeler on Craigslist that needed some work to get running.  Thought it would be a good project for them.  It's still not running but they are pretty excited about it.

Getting started on "working"

Got the camper out and ready to go!

Hunting for Easter eggs with cousins at Grandma and Papa's house.  It was a mad dash!

Playing basketball with the neighbor boy.  Suddenly mom and dad are no longer cool enough to play with!

Easter Morning

We spent Easter morning at home before heading out for festivities.  PK got the egg hunting thing down this year.  He said he was trying to save his candy but it didn't make it back to Audubon by lunch time...

In Other News...

Our stove and dishwasher took a crap on the same night.  A Monday night.  The dishwasher flooded the kitchen and the basement bathroom.  That was fun.

This guy thinks he has Pro Status at Candyland.  Talks a lot of trash!

Days are long.  Weeks, months and years are short.  Never wake a napping toddler.  Far worse than waking a baby.

The night before Harlow was born we had a mommy/son date night.  Dani, Armor, PK and I ate mexican and then went to see "Home".  It was a pretty cute movie.  Armor loves cuddling with PK.  Even when he eats.  PK not impressed as much!

And this sweet guy left me love notes taped to my headboard.  I don't dare take them down either! :)

Baby #2 is a...

BOY!

My ultrasound got moved up because I was planning on traveling this week for work.

PK went to the appointment with us.  I'm not sure he understood what was going on while the ultrasound was going on.  And the TV was across the room.  But he sat there pretty content the whole time.  We had the tech circle our paper above and put it in an envelope.  I wasn't sure how he would handle the news, if he would catch on and I wanted to get his full reaction rather than a shy one with strangers being in the room.  He got to open the envelope while we were all together.  That was pretty fun!  He was most excited about the great big hugs we all did! :)  He has been talking A LOT now about what he is going to do as a big brother and things he is going to do with his little brother.

And I found the boys matching football jerseys for this fall!

My newest niece Harlow Danielle was born on March 29th.  She's a pretty special little girl!

They see me rollin', they hatin'

In other news... We traded in our Chevy 1/2 ton for a Ford 3/4 ton.  It's a pretty truck.  Barely fits in the garage! :)  (but it fits)

More Bumpies!

Growing faster this time; that's for sure!  Keep in mind with PK we got married when I was 17 weeks... and not nearly this big :)

Getting Home

Wasn't the easiest task.  We didn't realize how easy we had it on the way down.  Since we tried taking back highways to avoid Nashville and Atlanta there were fewer "nice" restroom breaks.  More local scenery and more small towns to slow down for.  Oh and the weather looked like below.  It was freezing rain for a good portion of two days.  And slushy.  We were actually worried about flooding when we were in towns, the roads were deep on corners.  45 mph was max speed and at times we were creeping at 15-20 mph.  On Saturday once we got past St. Louis we were free but it wasn't pretty from Birmingham to St.Louis.

The car was one gigantic piece of ice on Saturday morning.  We had called it quits right inside the Missouri border on Friday late afternoon.

Clearwater Beach

From Tampa we wanted to check out Clearwater Beach.  The weather wasn't warm and it was very windy.  We went to say we did, but it wasn't the greatest.  There was a large ice/winter storm moving across the midwest so we decided to cut vacation short and try to beat the storm.....  We made it to Birmingham for the night.  The next day however...

Tampa Children's Museum

After the storm rolled through the weather cooled down considerably.  We decided to hit up the Children's Museum in Tampa for the day.  PK loved it, he would have gone another day.  We had to drag him out of there!
