LLS

In early October my Grandpa Reno was diagnosed with Lymphoma (cancer of blood).  He has started chemo and has been doing well so far.  

Ironically, PK will be taking donations for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for school through Thanksgiving.  

He has filled up his box, plus more so thank you so much for all of the donations so far!

His school is partnering with Olive Garden; the class who raises the most money wins a pasta lunch.  They will also being doing a dress "theme" everyday similar to what schools do for homecoming (hat day, wacky hair day, dress in your favorite color, etc).

Center Grove

In early October we went out to Center Grove orchard with my sister and brother's families.  It was a tad chilly (nothing like now though!) but we had fun.

We rode the hay rack around but didn't get off.  The lines to get back on were long since it was towards the end of the day.

Hey, Hey!

So I bet you've been wondering why I'm not posting now that I have "nothing going on".  

Well, truth is, we've been relaxing.  And still working!  We finished the inside of the rental house the very last day of September at 9pm :)  We then spent the next few weekends working on the exterior.  Touching up the exterior paint, painting around the trim of the new windows and working on the shed.  Kris spent a weekend tearing off the old roof off of the shed while I painted outside.  The next weekend Brandon, Zach, Nathan and a friend from work helped him put on a new roof (no more leaking!).  

We spent a weekend in KC for my birthday and I got a new car!  

We spent the next weekend trimming trees at the rental.  I've had sewing and craft projects going on at home during the week.  

So we've still been busy!  And also a few nights of turning the bed heater on and cuddling for awhile.
