Parker Quotes

Standing in the spare bedroom I was telling Kris and Parker "I can't believe my bag I worked so hard on just turned into a sewing machine cover."  (As serious as can be) Parker: "It happens".  We about fell over laughing.

Also his new thing "That funny!" making it even more hysterical.

All About Parker

Funny Conversations:

PK: “Mommy, where puppy?”

Me: “I don’t know, you’ll have to look for it”

PK: “Know either”

Kris brought home a go-cart. We go to look out the window at it…

Mommy: “so what are we going to do with that?”

Daddy: “ride it around”

PK: “ride, round, round, round Mommy!”

We brought PK’s pedal tractor in the house.

Kris: “what size motor you have in your tractor?”

PK: “hmm 7,8,9”

Favorite Things:

Puppy is still top of list

Elmo book and My Daddy Snores book are always the top 2 night time stories

combine/skidloader/wagon/tractors/blocks/matchbox cars/trains

Sleeps well/eats well when we stay in routine.

Anytime there is football on TV it is the Hawkeyes playing

Our purple Beta fish named “Yellow”

Will lay down in the middle of the floor on his back then say “mommy, tickle”

Has a book with construction equipment pictures in it that he “reads” to us.

We read, build, dig, crawl, chase, tickle and follow non-stop

Most repeated lines lately:

“mommy, what you doin?”

“watch school bus fore Dawn’s house”

“daddy, play catch!”

“Get more beans” (combining)

“Read more books”

“go store, toys Christmas”

“build castle, up, up, up!” (with hand motions)

Basically anything you say will be repeated and held against you!

Is persistent and sassy… Don’t ask if he wants peaches or applesauce for supper if you don’t have peaches to give him. Pears are not a substitute!

10 Things you may not know about me - Mom Version

10 Things you may not know about me – Mom version (or confessions)

1 – Meat made me gag when I was pregnant.

2 – I didn’t know all of things I wasn’t supposed to be doing while pregnant and may have violated a few before I figured it out. Unlike my normal being of researching everything to death, I had done none on being pregnant prior to being.

3 – I didn’t feel a rush of love when PK was born that people talk about. It took a few days of cuddling to understand he was really mine.

4 – I also had no motherly instincts. The first night I went home and PK stayed in NICU I didn’t even have a number I could call nor did they have my cell number to call me.

5 – I love when other people read PK books. He doesn’t warm up to other people with me around; so when I get to see him cuddle up with others, I just love it.

6 – When Kris isn’t home PK and I eat frozen pizza and cookies. No idea why. I don’t like it, Kris is the one who likes frozen pizza.

7 – I keep my cool most of the time but the whining I just cannot handle.

8 – Life is so much smoother with our routines.

9 – Parker may look like his daddy, but he is all mommy through and through. That boy doesn’t like people being in his space, touching his things or having things be where they aren’t supposed to be.

10 – Being a mom is a lot more work than I ever thought it was going to be; I thought I would have this in the bag! Lol at me…

10 Things you may not know about ME

10 Things you may not know about ME

1 – I work out to keep myself happy, not to be thin or healthy. I thrive off the endorphins and am crabby when I don’t work out.

2 – If I was a stay at home mom I would have the most organized house ever. I love organizing.

3 – I like painting. My brain doesn’t have to work and I just zone out.

4 – I hate getting my haircut. They have to touch me and they just mess it up! Lol

5 – I don’t drive as fast as I used to. I’ve slowed down in my old age most of the time.

6 – I absolutely hate being cold. Hate it. I would rather be sweating than freezing.

7 – I gave my breakfast to a homeless man every morning for a week. He was gone the next week and now he’s back. He breaks my heart…

8 – I’ve changed. I’m not the same person I used to be. And I’m not sure I’m ok with it. I need to learn to relax again.

9 – I eat pretty much all day when I’m at work. Just snack, snack, snack. I eat breakfast on the way to work, breakfast again when I get there, granola bar or pistachios around ten, lunch at 11:30, yogurt in the afternoon, then supper.

10 – I have to sleep with a blanket wrapped around my head.
