New Phones

We got new phones this week and PK was very excited when he could see himself while I was taking pictures now. Lots of giggling at himself :)

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning I was feeling a bit better but didn't get many pictures.  Santa found Parker and he was pretty excited about his basketball hoop.  He got the hang of opening presents but was most excited about the first present every time and didn't want to stop playing to open anymore.  Parker was still not feeling that well on Christmas; we had to wake him up at nine when he usually gets up at seven.  And his poor eye was almost swollen shut.  When he gets colds his eye tends to plug up and goober.

Wagon

Not impressed and we were just getting started... lol

Sideways look to see if I'm still trying to take his picture

Wrestling his puppy in there
Kris's mom and dad got PK a wagon for Christmas.  Since it's been so cold outside we've just been pulling him around the house in it.  I decided it was a good time to take some pictures since he couldn't run away! :)

Christmas Eve, Eve

We went back to Audubon the night before Christmas Eve to celebrate with Kris's family on Christmas Eve day.  Unfortunately I woke up the next morning with the stomach flu so we didn't stick around for Christmas.

Some Milligan Christmas Pics

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Mom, why you keep taking pictures of me?

Parker has a couple of ornaments I let him play with and practice hanging on the tree.  He loves carrying them around and checking out everything on the tree.

Happy Holidays!

I’ve been a little light on the posting the past couple weeks. I’ve found it hard to post with all that has happened at the small elementary school in Connecticut. Our hearts have been heavy, tears fall easily; we hurt for them.

We’ve all been sick. Think we are getting over it and then bam, sick again. Everybody is on the mend so hopefully we have a good Christmas weekend/break.

With that we are wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

18 Months!

Funny Quirks

- Loves dragging the toilet plunger around the house, disgusting! I even began setting it up on top of the toilet tank and he still crawled on top/around the toilet to get it down.

- Loves the wastepaper basket in the bathroom, empties it out and wears it on his head, fills it up and carries it around

- Kris was working with PK on where his nose, etc was. He asked him where his butt was and he pointed to Kris’s mouth! Bahaha!

- Probably seems random but he has the most fun playing with odd things around the house he digs out that I don’t take away. He takes the mini-crock pot out of the cupboard and plays forever filling it up, carrying it around. Tupperware, empty garlic/cinnamon containers, big plastic spoons, plastic bowls. It’s all scattered around the house mixed in with his toys.

- There is small spot in the corner of the living room where there is just a little space for him where he will take all his favorite toys of the night with his blanket. He will get himself all situated in the corner and just sits and plays.

- Blowing his nose is the cutest thing; and he actually blows hard, it works!

- A habit I need to break… I let him sit on the counter when I cook supper. He loves watching and “helping”. I need one of those stool things he can climb up on that is counter height.

- On our back deck we put out a light up reindeer and snowman that are just for PK. We open the blinds on the door so he can see them. I’m not sure what he’s saying when he points at them, but he thinks they are pretty cool!

- PK got these cars that you pull back and let go for his birthday. Well all week while I’ve been making supper him and daddy have been racing them across the kitchen floor. Kris will let two go and he will run down and bring them back one by one. Kris started letting one go while PK was running to get the other one and he’d turn back while running making sure the car wasn’t going to get him. Or he’d stop and run back to Kris if a car was getting too close. We were having fun with it; he didn’t want to stop for supper.

Everything Else

- I’m cutting his hair every two weeks it seems like now. It just grows so fast!

- Goes to bed around 8 and sleeps until after 7

- We are working on not throwing food on the floor if you don’t like it… work in progress.

- He’s getting pretty good at drinking out of a glass. Taught himself to blow bubbles in it tho. So once he is full he just sits there and plays. Ends up with a ring across his forehead from the glass.

- Having him walk over and give you a kiss without asking has to be the sweetest thing ever.

- At daycare he only has his blanket during naptime. When we get there and when we pick him up; he knows the drill and where it goes. And doesn’t let you forget to take it home!

Half Birthday!

Happy half birthday to my little man!

We went to Bass Pro tonight to "celebrate". We hadn't taken him out there yet to check out the animals. Was fun to see, will probably make more trips this winter to get out of the house.

First Snowfall

First Snowman!

Debating how to get to those "balls" when all bundled up...

Dad moved me closer, almost there!

No more snowman head!

Loading up snowballs in the dump truck

Watching dad throw snowballs out on the street

We were outside this morning around eight to play in our first snowfall.  PK was pretty excited when we got up and was pointing out the window during breakfast wondering what was going on out there.  Took him awhile to get used to the snow but I think he was just happy to be outside!

He learned to blow his nose this weekend.  I'm not sure how.  I've fought him all week with my ninja moves to wipe his nose.  So today I just handed him a kleenex and he held it up to his nose and blew!  Pretty cute stuff.  Then he'd run as fast as he could across the kitchen to throw it away.  We might have overdone the positive reinforecment because now he stands at the closet wanting more kleenex! ha!
