Creative Juices

Today I went to the fabric store looking for ideas for the babies nursery. I didn't find any material I liked but did get my creative juices flowing!

I saw awhile ago this cute crayon holder - thought it would be super cute for Maya. Hope she doesn't follow my blog - its part of her bday present :)

NEW HOUSE

Well we've finally found a house that we both can compromise on - it was kind of a tough battle. There were times where we needed to "refocus" and determine why exactly we were moving and what our main criteria were. Which was: more storage/space than we currently have. Well we definitely hit that mark! I think my townhouse was around 1100/sf and this house has a little over 2000/sf on the main levels and then 400 finished in the basement. We should be able to stay here for a LONG time!

It appears to be very well taken care of. Besides some minor wallpaper/painting I don't think we will have anything major that we will need to do before we move in - which will be really nice. There are four bedrooms upstairs with two full baths and a laundry room. Downstairs has been finished nicely with another 3/4 bath area.

We have inspection on Friday afternoon - so pending a passed inspection everything should move along well.

Front of House

"Formal Living Room" inside the front door to the left. We will probably just leave this room for awhile until it gets filled with toys or whatnot.

Dining area and Kitchen. This is some of the wallpaper I mentioned... There is a pantry to the left and a little desk area. The table area would be straight down the hall when you walk in the front door with a half bath in the hallway.

Master bedroom

This room will probably be the babies room - there is a walk in closet to the left.

The smallest bedroom which we will probably use as a office. There is also another bedroom at the end of the hall that has giant splatter paint wallpaper and caution tape decoration. I can't imagine why the realtors didn't post a picture of it! :) There is also a laundry room upstairs. This is in the basement - the mechanical room is on the left and to the right is an unfinished room with an egress window that could easily be finished for an extra bedroom if needed.

SOLD!

My townhouse has officially sold! Passed inspection. New owners hope to close by April 29th. The hunt is continuing for our new home. :) I'm sure the neighbors are talking today now... Haha

21 weeks!

This week he's the length of a carrot - 10.5 inches long. Developing eyebrows and eyelids.

This week Kris said 'wow you're SO much bigger than when we were on our honeymoon!' Uh? Thanks? I guess I will take that as a compliment? Lol.

Baby King is a.... ... BOY!

Today we had our Ultrasound! Baby King is a... BOY!

Such exciting news. I was pretty convinced from the beginning though that it was going to be a boy for some reason. I would have been very surprised if the tech would have said girl. I think Kris was pretty shocked though. This time I was the one jumping around while he just kind of stood there in shock for a couple minutes :)

Everything is measuring on track - 10 ounces is what they said. He was being stubborn and had his hand up by his face the whole time and would NOT move it - the tech kept shoving on him trying to get him to move and he was having nothing to do with it. So since she couldn't get a good shot of the face or heart the doctor said we could have another ultrasound if we want. We're going to check with insurance before deciding.

I was pretty amazed how spread out he was. His head was down by my right hip and his feet were up on the upper side of my left rib cage. Apparently stretching out in there... :)
